We are looking for a new owner for this well cared-for, much-loved short schoolbus. Reliable, a pleasure to drive, built like a tank, and in especially good running condition for its age, this bus is ideal for touring bands, as a solid base for a mobile art project, or pretty much anything you can dream up.

SPECS:
* Thomas Built Bus, engine/chassis: International (Navistar) Sxxxx
* diesel engine (does not require CA Smog), long working life
* automatic transmission
* 7.5 mpg
* 60mph top speed
* 22.5' long
* 6'1" inside clearance in the center aisle of bus
* good turning radius (we navigated Manhattan just fine)
* hitch & trailer light controls added in xxxx (no trailer included)
* new oil/water filters, shocks, wipers last year - some spare belts & radiator hoses are included (other parts for this model are still easy to find)
* differential upgraded last year to increase highway speed & mileage ($xxxx)

This is an ideal bus for a vegetable conversion: good working engine, huge spaces under the frame for multiple 55-gallon barrels. We were intending to do this conversion ourselves but we ran out of time.

AMENITIES:
* 7 seats (plus driver)
* dinette table
* full/double lofted bed with clean mattress
* 2.5 cubic yards of equipment storage under loft
* 1.5 cubic yards of lightweight storage (suitcases, sleeping bags)
* plenty of overhead & under seat storage for personal bags
* xxxx-watt power inverter for 120v AC power in the cab (12vDC cigarette lighter in the dash)
* no built-in A/C (we never needed one, though, and the heater is incredible)

HISTORY:
Originally owned by the North Carolina Harrison County school district from xxxx-xxxx, who must sell off their vehicles by statute after 20 years regardless of condition (ie. this vehicle was not decommissioned because of a working condition), well-maintained by the school district's mechanic. Had a partial-RV conversion by a forest ranger family in xxxx. Purchased by a music group (us) as a touring vehicle in xxxx, but our lineup has downsized and we no longer need a bus for tours. It is now registered in California with standard (noncommercial) plates.

KNOWN ISSUES:
* brake fluid sensor was triggered, but mechanic looked it over last year and found no issues
* one fuel injector has a leak, but not enough to be worth replacement yet
* spedometer needs re-calibration
* many dashboard instrument lights are out
* spray caps for windshield washers are cracked & need replacing (but fluid still washes the windows fine)
As far as repairs, all we've had to do is replace the upper radiator hose, clean some connections on an ignition solenoid, and tighten a loose nut on the engine. Never even had a flat tire.

Please don't bother making a low offer; our asking price is just the cost of what we put in to the vehicle, it is worth every penny and we have no deadline to sell. This is a quality asset and we want to see it go to the right person.
